Description of Course Contents
The course provision includes intensive tuition by trainers who are experts in the field of teaching English to young learners, as well as opportunities for reading and research and guest lectures from well-known figures in the field of ELT.
Classes will be practical and ‘hands-on’ but with reference to relevant theory.
Target Groups
Teachers as well as academic managers in the young learner field (the term ‘young learners’ should be taken to cover the 6 - 13 age range)
Participants with a minimum language level corresponding to B1 on the Common European Framework
Aims of course
• To develop and extend participants’ awareness of the principles and practice of teaching English to young learners
• To develop and extend participants’ classroom language
• To give participants opportunities to improve and update their spoken and written English
