COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is a hands on collaborative course where you will try out activities and share your experience and ideas with other teachers. Explore the methodology and principles that suit your context. We invite you to identify your students' needs and to create solutions you can take back to your classroom and implement next term. Topics will be adapted based on the needs of the group.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suitable for teachers working with young learners from 6 to 11 years old. It is for teachers who may be teaching English as a separate subject (ELT) or combining English with other subjects, as in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in a primary context.

OBJECTIVES:

- Evaluate teaching activities, materials and media
- Understand how content and language are integrated in primary ELT and CLIL

2) Tuesday
- Fun with flashcards! Exploit flashcards for vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation

- Song, chants and drama in the classroom
3) Wednesday
- Guided writing. Getting over the fear of the blank page
- Different writing techniques for younger learners
- Getting arty. Creative ideas for the classroom
4) Thursday
- Story-telling. Looking at popular children’s story books
- Grammar Giggles. Games to recycle grammar
5) Friday
- Managing behaviour. The use of praise in the classroom
- Useful error correction techniques
- Using technology in the classroom. Ideas and useful websites
- End of course quiz and certificates
