Description of Course Contents
A highly practical training programme which covers a broad span of teaching ideas and activities to enliven lessons and make them more motivating. This course will be taught interactively, with input, workshops and group work. Participants are expected to take an active role in all sessions, maximising their use of English, and experiencing for themselves the activities covered In the sessions. Teachers will be introduced, during the course, to various Web-based sites which they could use after the course.
Target Groups
The course is designer for teachers of English and other languages, who need to brush up on their English while taking a look at some new ideas to refresh their methods and techniques. Participants need to be at a B1 level of English.
Aims of course
• To introduce new areas of teaching methodologies and accompanying techniques, using hands-on & experiential methods
• To introduce an awareness of technology and ICT in the classroom today
• To help teachers reflect on their own teaching methods & contexts & develop teaching skills
• To experience the cultural heritage of Malta with its bilingual linguistic environment
