French + ski : January 3rd to April 1st 2011
The students study 20 hours of general French per week. This is divided into 5 half-days of 4 hours. 1 hour is 55 minutes of teaching. The students will have morning and afternoon lessons : 8.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm and 5.30pm, for example: 2 mornings and 3 afternoons or 3 mornings and 2 afternoons. The timetable is set by IFALPES and is set on a monthly basis.
All students will have a placement test on their first day: 1 hour written test and individual oral test, plus an information meeting and guided tour of the town. Lessons will start the next day.
All students will have a placement test at the beginning of each month which replaces lessons on this day.
All domains of the French language are studied in class: reading, writing, listening, grammar and particularly speaking. We particularly focus on the oral participation and progress of the students.
The IFALPES programs are all based on the Common European Framework.
